We’re a diverse group of runners who run most Saturday mornings and would love for you to join us! We have a range of ages, paces, and athletic abilities and backgrounds, but we enjoy running as part of a group.

This group was born on Saturday, August 3, 2024, after Pacers Running Store cancelled the Saturday morning long runs. These runs began nearly 18 years ago by kind people with a love for running and running with other people. In order to keep that same love of running with others alive, the NoVA Rogue Runners were born.

Courses Details for Saturday Long Run on 5/31/2025

Saturday, 8 am from Gravelly Point. This week, we will be running the Arlington Triangle. Please get there and be ready to run at 8.  Please see below for 15.6 miles base course, with options between 2-15 miles. 

Please bring your own hydration and nutrition.

Course Directions

Directions for 15.6 miles:

– Head NORTH on the Mt Vernon Trail (MVT) Up To Key Bridge

– At Key Bridge, cross Lynn st and pick up the sidewalk / Custis Trail along Lee Highway

– Continue along the Custis Trail as it bends/turns Right to follow 66

– Custis will pass UNDER 66 where it meets with the W&OD Trail

– Turn LEFT onto the W&OD Trail to pick it up heading SOUTHEAST toward Shirlington

– Continue along the W&OD Trail as you cross Columbia Pike and continue along S. Four Mile Run Dr

S. Four Mile Run Dr ends at a water fountain at Shirlington Dr.

– Cross Shirlington Dr. and pick up Four Mile Run heading EAST, UNDER Route 1 toward the Mt Vernon Trail

– Pick up the Mt Vernon Trail heading NORTH past the airport

– Follow the Mt Vernon Trail back to Gravelly Point

 

Mileage Options:

2 Miles: Turn around at Lady Bird Johnson Memorial Park (just after Humpback Bridge)

4 Miles: Turn around at Memorial Bridge and head back

6 Miles: Turn around at the end of the Roosevelt Island parking lot

8 Miles: Turn around where the Custis Trail bends NORTH (RIGHT) to follow 66 from Lee Highway

10 Miles: Turn around where the Custis Trail bends SOUTH (LEFT) to cross over Lee Highway

12.5 Miles: Turn around where the Custis Trail crosses OVER Glebe Rd

 

Add Miles:

Once Returning to Gravelly Point Head NORTH again on the Mt Vernon Trail

+ 2 Miles: Turn around at Lady Bird Johnson Memorial Park (just after Humpback Bridge)

+ 4 Miles: Turn around at Memorial Bridge and head back

+ 6 Miles: Turn around at the end of the Roosevelt Island parking lot.
